Serena Williams Banned from Wearing Black Catsuit at French Open

It was reported that Serena Williams would no longer be able to wear her black Nike cat suit at the French Open.

According to the French Tennis Federation president—Bernard Giudicelli, the tournament is pushing a new dress code to regulate the uniforms of players. He said “I think that sometimes we’ve gone too far.”

Giudicelli commented on Williams black cat suit a bit more, saying “It will no longer be accepted. One must respect the game and the place.” Since then, Nike has responded to the reports of her cat suit being banned via Instagram, saying “You can take the superhero out of her costume, but you can never take away her superpowers. #justdoit.”
