Man Accused of Murdering Jordan's Dad Says He'll Prove He Didn't Kill Him

The date was July 23, 1993, when James Jordan, the father of iconic basketball player Michael Jordan, was murdered in cold blood while he slept in his car. Two men were soon arrested for his murder and the subsequent theft of his vehicle, yet despite overwhelming evidence that tied both Daniel Green and Larry Demery to the crime, both men have long maintained their innocence.

Now over 25 years after their sentencing, a North Carolina judge is set to hear new arguments in the case on behalf of the suspected gunman. In a prior interview from prison, Green conceded that he did help his friend Demery dispose of the body, but maintained that he wasn't the man who actually pulled the trigger.

If the judge is convinced by the new arguments, a new trial could be set for Green.
