Government Says U.S. Expects to Start COVID Vaccinations by Dec 11
Companies like Pfizer and Moderna have been leading the charge on vaccinations for COVID-19, with Pfizer previously claiming their COVID-19 vaccine is 90% effective. Now, the government has noted that the United States is expecting to start COVID-19 vaccinations by December 11, 2020.
FDA vaccine advisors are reportedly set to meet from December 8 to 10 to discuss the approval of vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna, which are allegedly 95 percent effective. The head of the White House’s coronavirus vaccine effort—Dr. Moncef Slaoui said, “Our plan is to be able to ship vaccines to the immunization sites within 24 hours of approval [by the FDA]. So I expect maybe on Day Two of the approval, on the 11th or the 12th of December." Stay tuned for more details.
