Florida Man Allegedly Stabbed Girlfriend in the Eyes, Threw Baby Out Window

According to reports, a Florida man has been accused of attempted murder in a gruesome act brought upon his girlfriend and young child. Pierre Francois, who’s believed to be mentally ill, allegedly stabbed his girlfriend in the eyes (leaving her permanently blind), tossed his 1-year-old daughter out of a window, and beat his mother with a piece of wood. 

Authorities say the child remains unresponsive after sustaining traumatic brain injuries. The child's mother also remains hospitalized as the two are in critical condition. The suspect's mother sustained minor injuries and is expected to be okay. 

“This was a very, very gruesome scene that the deputies encountered, and it was caused by a family member,” said Sgt. Don Prichard of the Broward Sheriff’s Office. Francois was charged with multiple felony charges, including attempted murder, and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He is being held on $550,000 bond.
