Stylist Says Justin Timberlake Set Up Super Bowl Incident w/ Janet Jackson
Celebrity stylist Wayne Scot Lukas claims that Justin Timberlake pushed for Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction" at the 2004 Super Bowl in an attempt to overshadow his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears kissing Madonna and Christina Aguilera at the MTV VMAs. The stylist told Page Six that Timberlake "insisted on doing something bigger than their performance. He wanted a reveal."
Scot Lucas stated that the original idea for the show involved a pearl g-string, stating, "Janet was going to be in a Rocha dress, and [Justin] was going to step on the back of her dress to reveal her butt in this pearl G-string. He added that "the outfit changed a couple of days before, and you saw the magic."
Scot Lucas denied Timberlake's claims that there was a "wardrobe malfunction," adding, "I wouldn’t call it a wardrobe 'malfunction' in a million years. It was the most functioning wardrobe in history. As a stylist, it did what it was intended to do."
The stylist explained that he decided to speak out after Justin Timberlake apologized to Janet and Britney Spears earlier this year, and Janet and Justin's former manager Johnny Wright insisting that Janet forgive Justin. Scot Lucas then revealed that Janet and Justin "made their peace a long time ago." See the video here
