Two Men Busted w/ 1,000 lbs of Meth & Coke Plus Enough Fentanyl to Kill 4.7M Peopl

In one of the largest drug busts that Orange County has seen in over a decade and a half, two men have been arrested with what police have described as enough fentanyl to kill 4.7 million people.

According to reports, local authorities apprehended Edgar Alfonso Lamas (36) and Carlos Raygozaparedes (53), shortly after they pulled over their minivan and discovered that the men were in possession of 821 pounds of meth, nearly 190 pounds of cocaine along with 20.5 pounds of fentanyl pills.

In wake of the DA's recent proclamation about responding harshly to drug trafficking cases, Lamas and Raygozaparedes may soon be facing murder changes given that narcotics such as fentanyl have been known to lead to substance abuse and death. But for now, if the perpetrators are convicted of the list of felony drug charges that they are currently facing, it could result in a prison sentence as long as 37 years and four months.

Lamas and Raygozaparedes remain in police custody on a $5 million bail while they await their fate. For more on this story, click on the link below.
