Cardi B Says She Feels Like a Prisoner of Fame

Following an appearance at the Met Gala on Monday (May 2), Cardi B took to Instagram to speak about feeling trapped as a famous person. This comes after the backlash that Cardi is getting from comments she made to the crowd at Playboy's The Boom Boom After Party that she hosted. 

One video shows Cardi telling guests to drink up, but she also jokingly made a snorting gesture that many are linking to drug use which has garnered backlash. Cardi addressed the criticism on Instagram Live, as she told viewers that she hasn't felt free to be herself since 2014, and she feels like being famous puts a target on her back and a microscope on her life. 

Cardi went on to tell viewers that wish for money and fame to think twice about wanting to be famous
