Alleged Threesome Causes 60-Person Brawl on Carnival Cruise
When a paying customer climbs aboard a Carnival Magic Cruise, they typically do so under the belief that they are about to partake in a relatively stress-free getaway voyage from the hustle and bustle of the world's highly demanding workforce. But for the passengers of a recent cruise, when they stepped inside the dream class cruise ship, the confines must have resembled that of a massive pro-wrestling-styled cage match. Footage from the past weekend has recently surfaced of a wild 60-person brawl, complete with haymakers being thrown, confusion, screams, security guards being completely overwhelmed, and a routine investigation into how it all began.
According to reports, the fight broke out around 2 am, at the ship's nightclub, shortly after rumors of an alleged threesome began to circulate. When news of the debauchery reached the participants' significant others, they were understandably infuriated. This led to a dispute which snowballed into a fist-throwing free-for-all. After the brawl was eventually de-escalated, the ship was guided back to shore by law enforcement. So far no major injuries have been reported and no arrests have been made.
“Security onboard the boat attempted to de-escalate the situation and subsequently called for the Coast Guard,” the NYPD said. “The Coast Guard escorted the cruise ship to Pier 88, confines of the MTN Precinct. Uniformed personnel and Traffic Agents met the ship and the ship disembarked passengers without further incident.”
Shortly thereafter, issued an official statement, regarding their findings and the ongoing investigation.
“Last night while Carnival Magic was returning to New York, a number of guests were involved in an altercation in a nightclub. Thankfully no serious injuries were reported and our onboard security team intervened,” the statement read. “The ship arrived as scheduled this morning and shoreside law enforcement authorities were notified and met the ship to interview suspects and witnesses and conduct an investigation.”
