Florida Lady Named Tupac Shakur Arrested for Beating an Elderly Man with a Baseball Bat

In just five days, it will be the 26th anniversary of rapper Tupac Shakur's tragic passing in Las Vegas. Although his murder still remains unsolved, 2Pac's legacy has grown exponentially in the past two decades. During his postmortem career, 2Pac has become one of the best-selling recording artists of all time, and a Rock and Roll Have of Fame inductee. Because of the mystery sounding the late rapper's wake and funeral, some still cling to the hope that 2Pac is alive--somewhere out there. On Wednesday, Tupac Shakur emerged in Florida after assaulting someone and getting arrested. Unfortunately, for fans of the slain musician, this news story merely involves a woman who shares the rapper's namesake.

According to reports, the 34-year-old Miami woman approached an elderly man while he was relaxing on a bench just outside of the Hialeah hospital and proceeded to beat him down with a baseball bat for no apparent reason. The victim managed to wrestle the bat away from Shakur, who then hightailed it inside the hospital and falsified a story about how the elderly man attacked her with the bat instead. Shakur was arrested shortly thereafter. Local authorities then took her to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where she was charged with aggravated battery on a person 65 or older.
