Charges Dropped Against Man Linked to Young Dolph's Case

The charges against Shundale Barnett, one of the men tied to Young Dolph's murder case, were dropped just one day after he was arrested.

Barnett was initially charged with accessory after the fact, and he was accused of helping his cousin, Justin Johnson, flee Memphis after Young Dolph was murdered. In November, Johnson was convicted of murdering Young Dolph and sentenced to life in prison plus 35 years

Both Johnson and Barnett were arrested in a rental car in Indiana in 2021, and as the case unfolded, authorities say it became clear that Barnett was not involved in the murder case. However, due to a clerical issue, the warrant for his arrest was never wiped from the system.
