Warriors' Stephen Curry named 2014-15 NBA MVP

Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry was officially announced as the 2014-15 NBA Most Valuable Player on Monday morning. The news was first broken on Sunday night by Monte Poole of CSNBayArea.com and later confirmed by Yahoo Sports' Marc Spears. Curry received 1,198 total points in the voting and received 100 first-place votes out of 130 ballots. Houston's James Harden (936 points, 25 first-place votes), Cleveland's LeBron James (552 points, five first-place), Oklahoma City's Russell Westrbrook (352 points) and New Orleans' Anthony Davis (203) rounded out the top five. Poole first reported the news following the Warriors' comfortable victory over the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Realdoll invests in AI for future sexbots that move, and talk dirty

Tired of your $10,000 anatomically-correct sex doll just lying there? Well, now RealDoll, purveyors of alarmingly lifelike silicone sex partners -- and apparently not movie buffs -- plans to give them personalities. According to the New York Times, RealDoll founder and CEO Matt McMullen has hired a team away from Hanson Robotics for the new project, dubbed Realbotix, for the express purpose of animating these dolls. The team is reportedly developing an artificial intelligence system capable both of following commands and verbally responding to its user. What's more, RealDoll is also working on an animatronic head (complete with blinking eyes and movable mouth). Additionally, the team plans to potentially incorporate a mobile app that would act as a Tamagotchi-like companion as well as a VR headset that could either replace (or at least augment) the doll itself. The company has already sold more than 5,000 RealDolls (which run from $5,000 to $10,000 each) since its founding in 1996...

New Orleans Man Facing Trial For Killing & Dismembering Stripper

A former couple is set to face trial on Monday for the murder of a Bourbon Street dancer who was found dead and body parts dismembered and thrown into the ocean. According to the Associated Press, the case stems from June 2012 when Terry Speaks and his then-girlfriend Margaret Sanchez killed 24-year-old Jaren Lockhart. Speaks and Sanchez were at a strip club in New Orleans, Louisiana when they encountered Lockhart. After she was reported missing, her body parts were washed up on several Mississippi beaches. Speaks and Sanchez have both pleaded not guilty to murder but also face charges of obstructing justice and conspiring to obstruct justice. Since the case, the former couple has gone back and forth about what happened on the night of June 6, 2012. Several witnesses claim they witnessed Speaks and Sanchez exploring Temptations strip club and another club named Stiletto's, looking for dancers to attend a "private party" with the promise of drugs and money.
